Asuncion, Paraguay #12

May 25,
I awoke and we both needed a TENS unit session. I think this is from the bed. It had rained this morning, Jeff said. I did not hear it. I had trouble falling asleep. Someone was playing music with a deep bass. I could feel the beat in my chest. It stopped at 2300. But my legs were still itchy… I did not mention that a couple of days ago, well, my legs had a splotchy rash after I lotioned them. We investigated the lotion to find out it was liquid soap, not lotion! Ha-ha!!! So I wasn’t having an allergic reaction. It was soap and I never rinsed it off. This also explains why my legs kept being dry!😂🤣 We did not use Google Translate when we bought it and just assumed…
Anyway, we got around then, having our Javas and breakfast of granola and yogurt. Then I blogged as Jeff read. It was very humid outside and felt like it could rain again. So we waited around hoping for better weather and we were expecting a water delivery. We decided to head out, but as soon as we stepped we felt a few drops of rain. So we turned around and went back to our place and decided to get some steps on the treadmill. We took turns in case the water came. Then we had our leftovers for lunch: the soup, the small bit of chili, and some cheese.
We gave up waiting for the water and attempted to go out again. The same thing happened with the rain, but we decided to just go on to the mall as it is so close. We bought some bread and water, since we never got any. We went back to our place and had grilled cheese with pepperoni sandwiches. Watched some YouTube videos. Bed by 2200
May 26,
We awoke and I put the TENS unit on Jeff when our phone/doorbell sounded. So I answered it. It was the water guy! So we will have plenty of water now. I met him downstairs, tapped my credit card as he placed the water in the elevator for me (the order was for 10l bottles X3), and I went into the elevator as he printed my receipt and gave it to me. He was efficient! Anyway, on the fifth floor I put the water out of the elevator – taking two to our door, and went back for the third. Then we set about to our Javas and breakfast of skillet toast with a poached, seasoned egg in a hole I made – like a well. It was pretty good.
We noticed the weather to be more favorable today. So just before noon we went to the “Health Park” – the place we have to show our passport IDs to enter. This time I noticed – right where we entered – the little building was open. It was a little clinic! Huh! That helps explain the “health” name of the park. We did a couple, of the near one mile, laps. The birds did not seem as “vocal” today, but it was still enjoyable – like a little oasis. The one time I did my Merlin App, it picked up a bird we had not heard the other day. It was a Narrow-billed Woodcreeper, we never did see it. However we did see more butterflies fluttering about, and also saw the moths (we think them to be moths) were on the trees again. I think there were more people exercising. When we finished we exited, showing our passports again. Just outside of the park were two fruit/veggies truck stands. We bought some from both. The second one was more legit and used a scale. While walking back, I snapped a picture of Jeff in front of a launderette…it is called Mr Jeff. How funny!!!
Once at our place, we made lunch of a veggie stir-fry on rice. Then we relaxed listening to music. Jeff had a small siesta, as I sat out on our patio, since it was warm enough today! Then evening settled on us and we had a snack dessert of strawberries on the last of our chocolate ice cream. We ate it while rewatching the last Mandalorian show, to refresh our memory.
