Asuncion, Paraguay #11

May 23,
Up & about, readied and had our Javas. For breakfast we had our yummy French toast with the last of our nutty sour dough bread. Soo Good! We saw the continuing construction of the closest condominiums going up. I guess I’m weirdly in awe of what results, but watching the men up there working…scary and always fascinating!! Then I set about to do a blog.
Jeff was posting it when…well, one thing led to another and our website crashed!!! We almost completely lost all our pictures and the site entirely!!!!!😮🤯 WOW! That was not fun and Jeff spent a couple hours stressing big time working on it. Jeff even had to take some antacids! Finally we decided to pay for a service to reestablish our site. I’ll just say right here, that was money well spent! The guy was an IT worker in Pakistan that worked on it and did it pretty quickly. It was – like midnight – where he was at. Amazing how globally connected the world is! Anyway, I made us lunch of leftovers- a simple chili, cheese and rice casserole. Then we just relaxed most of the day. Jeff needed to!
Around 1800, we went to the store for some wine and bread. They were out of their sour dough. So we went with something else. We made a soup from a mix, enhancing it with sausage, red pepper, onion, and garlic. We also sliced some of that ciabatta jalapeno/cheese bread. It was great with the soup! What a crazy, stressful day!
May 24,
Congratulations to our niece… she’s a new mother!!!
I was up and about later than normal, barely having my Java ready when we connected with my mother and her husband. They are well, but no baby yet. GiGi is ready for him. That’s what my mother would like to be known as, but whatever she is called she will be happy. Anyway, we made oatmeal for breakfast. We also finished the melon and had some yogurt.
Next we zoomed with our church family back home. We connected with them and participated with the aired Pentecost service. After the service we were talking again with them and received the news that our niece had her baby earlier. Yeah!! We shared our excitement.
Then we had a lunch of pasta with more of the ciabatta jalapeno/cheese bread sliced. We tried connecting with my sister, but she was busy, being a new Grandmother! Wild how a baby born causes everyone to get new titles. Family…it’s a blessing of humankind, given to us by God. For supper we snacked on cheese, crackers, and pretzels & hummus.
Lastly we tried to connect with Jeff’s sister who was also busy as they were still in their Pentecost service. This day represents something else given to us by God the Holy Spirit. It was a very double-blessed day!!!
