Valencia, Day 2
May 4th
Today we go to the ocean — well, the Oceanografic Valencia! It's a highly-rated, top ten (on many Google sites) aquarium park. Wow! It's all that! There are 15 different areas (one being a 4d Cinema that we did not pay extra for). For us the best one was the Oceans/Sharks. The sharks, rays and other fish swim over and beside you as you walk through a 35m tunnel. It was fantastic! The next was the Temperate/Tropical Zone. It has a 70m tunnel with the same set up but it's smaller fish in schools, turtles, and great coral. (Jeff and I both are ready to dive again!) Third probably was the Artic Zone/Belugas/Northern Seas – seeing a Beluga Whale anytime is special. Last was the Dolphin show – watching Dolphins doing stuff is always fun.
We did take a lunch break outside of the park. There's a mall close by, we went there. We chose Lemongrass Restaurant – as we both have been wanting Asian food for awhile. Started with spring rolls. I had Pad Thai with chicken; Jeff, Chef Chicken, which was a stir-fry of chicken with veggies and side of rice. We drank Sangria with our meal. It was good.
Went back to finish up couple places at the Aquarium, then we moved on to Museum of Science, Museu de les Ciencies. (It was a combo ticket with the Aquarium.) It was interactive as most science museums tend to be, and informative. The Music Section was very good, including the whole science of hearing. We enjoyed the Mars and Space Section as well. But we ran out of gas! Left and went back to our hostel/pension, after we stopped at grocer and picked up nuts and yogurt for dinner. Fun day re-examining God's creation!
