April 18th

Today we started another cool, crisp day. It's actually nice to just sit in your boat and listen to the birds, watch butterflies, and sip your coffee or hot chocolate. Then the work begins: a triple lock!!! We did a total of 8 locks. The weather is warming up – 70 degrees. We attempted a wine tasting, non. We were able to buy a bottle from their warehouse, Domaine Jeanson, a Papillion (butterfly) label. It was a red vino. While in town of Puicheric, we stopped at a tiny store. They had a selection of local wine and we bought a white wine for dinner, which was a chicken/chorizo pasta with onion and mushrooms. YUMMY!!
