Moroccan Living 4
June19th
Up and about, albeit slowly, around ten-ish! 🙂 (I have been having issues so this is the reason not out and about.)
We went out to laundry place (we don't have a washer in our apartment); then to a couple of shops for light bulbs; then to a spice nut shop – but he was way overpriced so left him with his stuff! Next to a phone shop for Jeff's phone, but I had to go back and rest. Jeff came back with new phone service and then went back out for pizza for lunch. All the little “snack shops” sell pizza, sandwiches, panini, shawarma, and rotisserie chicken! So you just have to find the one you like best!! The pizza he bought was a shawarma pizza!
We went for a walk through the medina. We bought a $1 refrigerator magnet(we used to collect them). Then we went out to the beach, as I was feeling better. WOW! The beach was very busy! Maybe school's out because there were quite a few younger kids? But it was quite a difference from just a few days ago. it was great to see all having fun. We went along to an area on the boardwalk where there is a temporary stage being set up. There is a big music festival starting in three days. Maybe this is why some of these people are here?
Anyway, we headed back. Jeff went back out and got olives, nuts, raisins and bread for light supper. He also went to the local “bottle shop” (this is what they call them here). Jeff said they are recognizing him now. 😉
As always hoping for great sunset!!
