Living our dream,

 traveling the world!

Moroccan Living 19

     July 12th

Yesterday was a laundry day. I actually did not leave the apartment.

Anyway, a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to my sister and brother-in-law!!! Today is their 31st Wedding Anniversary!! Wow! How time flies.

Today we ate breakfast on our balcony, and noticed the family that shared their special sheep with us have left.  🙁  So sad! After breakfast did a walkabout to Essaouira’s local hypermart, called Aswak Assalam. (We have joined their club as well as Carre Four’s, due to discounts.)  Bought our essentials and walked back to our place. Unloaded and cooled off. It is supposed to be mid eighties here today. If it wasn’t for the wind, it would be hotter then normal. That solar power is something else (I guess it’s the UV). And our apartment is a blessing – with the wind we can actually get chilled with the two windows cracked a couple of inches only!

So next, we walked through the Medina and saw our apartment realtor guy on his bike! But just waved, as we were on a mission – lunch, at the place we have eaten at the most, Asian Red Food. I ordered the chicken wok with cashews — a stir-fry of chicken; veggies- carrots, bell peppers (red, yellow, and green), and onions; and cashews. It’s served with rice. Jeff ordered the chicken fried rice. We really like this place, the three ‘man’ crew, does a great job. One guy does all the cooking: another man does the prep/plating; and the lady does the clean-up. I asked and they consented to a photo!!

After, lunch we wandered through Medina, back to our place. The construction carries on in the square below us. It has become a puzzlement how it will turn out! I do hope they finish enough for us to get an idea of how it will look. I checked out how the square looked in 2016 – it was just a flat vacant area! It does not seem this is what they have in mind now. Questions?? I seem to be massing up quite a few.

Well, going to wrap it up here. God bless to all!!!
