Moroccan Living
June 15th
This morning we awoke both rested!! Yay for blessings.
We did not have plans today, this was a good thing. Getting around discovered the refrigerator is running but not cold. HUMMM… Jeff texted our realtor guy. He responded and was to be coming at 11 with the plumber. So we swabbed our bathroom again. It is just not pleasant, but can deal with it. We had a great night's sleep.
Anyway, they arrived and the plumber went to work, and then left; while our realtor guy – I need to find out his name – looked at the refrigerator. He made and received several calls. Another guy came and looked at frig. while plumber came back with more supplies. Long story short (this was a Jackism) … They finished around one o'clock. Our realtor said not to use toilet for one hour and he would be back tomorrow at one for frig. So…
We went for lunch. We set out for Shawarma, but updated at a place in medina. We each had a juice: mint lemonade, which turned out to be lemon juice straight with mint leaves; and a carrot orange juice, which was very good. Then we split a starter: Moroccan Cigars – a spring roll of goat cheese and raisins with drizzling of honey and sprinkle of sesame seeds. Very good but need time to sit so goat cheese firmed up. Next, I had roasted cauliflower with tahini, toasted almond slices, banana slices, chopped apricots, and mint all on bed of couscous(side of green beans); Jeff had Duqqa-crumbed chicken breast (duqqa is chopped nuts, seeds and spices), fattoush salad and lemon yogurt. All was prepared well with a bunch of flavor! 🙂
We finished and went back to our place. Jeff has a blister on the side of one of his big toes, so it's a real slow down day ('slow down,.. move to fast, …but feeling groovy'! If you recognize that…). We just relaxed and had light supper: bread, mango, grapes – two forms. We'll enjoy sunset. Have some plans tomorrow!!
