Mad Tour, Day 16
October 10th
Today was RELAXATION day. It will be our last day here on this beach – total of three nights and three days. It has been nice to not have to get up, be all packed and move on. I did go for early morning stroll on the beach, around 07. It felt quite good. Jeff was not up to going, but God gave me a puppy dog companion. 🙂 I was even able to gather three very nice shells, and brought them back to show Jeff.
We went to breakfast around 800. It was same: bread and a croissant with that lovely pineapple marmalade; fresh sliced papaya and pineapple; and tea/coffee – which I'll add was not as “motor-oilish” today. We neither one drank the juice this morning.
Back to bungalow and well, siesta time……..
I went to lunch around two, Jeff did not want any. I had the fruit salad of pineapple, banana, and papaya. Finished I asked for a large water and couple of limes to spritz the water for Jeff; also got him a Youzou (their version of Sprite). I got out of bar, turned back around and asked if I could have some of the toasted peanuts they serve with drinks at night. They gave me some. So I took them back for Jeff as well. He had been liking these. He was okay with them and did eat them. Anyway, that was lunch, followed by more siesta time…….
All day I have been looking for the chameleon that I saw last night in tree right outside our bungalow, but to no avail. (I had taken a picture but it was not in focus). It was not meant to be. We did step out and watched sunset – it happened, but not grand, except to note will be our last one here on this beach. (But when we came back from supper – there it was – the chameleon!!!! Jeff even saw it this time.)
Supper was the best we've had here. We both opted to skip a starter. Our main was a grilled tuna steak with those aromatic pink peppercorns and a light brushing of lime. I had side of pan-roasted potatoes, Jeff had rice. Dessert was a fruit salad, and a banana-like pudding with sliced banana and a small chocolate mold garnish.
We went back to our bungalow, and bed by 930ish. We have an early morning.
