January 27,

We awoke to a rainstorm. Jeff said it rained a bunch at 0330 – I’ll have take his word of that. I did not awaken to that storm, but I did at 0610 to a lighter storm. Anyway, that set a tone for the day. Then we watched the Chief’s awesome game!! This thankfully set a way better tone for the day. We had our Javas and breakfast of Muesli yogurt and milk during halftime. YIPPEE!!! What a victory!😃🤗🤩🎉🎊🎊

Then we talked with my sister and then Jeff’s sister. What a blessed day – Chiefs setting up for the first ever, three in a row Super Bowl Win (how’s that for positive) and of course, talking with our family. As we were talking with our sister’s it rained more. So the weather was not cooperating, but it did not matter our day was already glorious.

Due to the rain, we had our leftover chicken for lunch with some sourdough bread. Then the afternoon came and went. We did have a break and went swimming in the ocean. As soon as we got out it started raining again. So we stayed in until supper.

The light on-again-off-again rain stopped briefly, so we jumped on the scooter and went to get supper at Think Retro Cafe. We had Fish and Chips; and Masala Chicken Curry with Rice. Jeff had beer – me Cuban Libra. It was okay, but mostly fuel. Total meal cost 650 Baht – that is total with tip ($19.17). Finished we left and went back to our place. Rainy day and it was a Monday, to boot, but we were not down!🤣😂

January 28,

Again we awoke to rain falling. It was supposed to be another rainy day. We got up and about, had our Javas and breakfast of Muesli, milk, and had toast with PB. It rained hard once while we were eating for about 5-10 minutes. We will have to go to the store sometime today, as we are out of yogurt and some veggies. We watched some podcasts on the Chief’s win and rehashing of the game.

The morning gave way to noon, with some pretty heavy rains alternating with some light drizzles. We heard many (and saw a couple of) firecracker🧨🧨🧨 strings going off in celebration of the Chinese New Year tomorrow. During one break of rain, Jeff went out for yogurt and maybe lunch. When he returned, it rained again. He threaded that!  Anyway, he had found a new stand with some grilled meat and sticky rice. I opted for a yogurt, some of the sticky rice, and bread with honey. The skewers of meat turned out to be mostly bone and grizzle, so he had the other half of the rice and bread with honey also. It rained hard again – cats and dogs type –  briefly while we were eating.

After lunch, Jeff went up for a siesta as I started this blog. The cleaning lady showed up and asked if it was okay to clean. Indeed it was. So I called to Jeff and we sat out near the pool while she cleaned. It rained hard again while we were sitting out there. It was so much rain that it was overfilling the infinity pool constantly. The cleaning lady finished, and we went back inside. Then afternoon gave way to evening.

Supper was a Frittata type dish with leftover chicken, & last of our eggs, onion, and tomato. Another rainy day.😐😑
