Living our dream,

 traveling the world!

Kaohsiung, Taiwan #11

      October 29,

We were up and about by 0700. We had a tentative idea… going out to an island on the other side of the harbor… but wow… the day is very smoggy. So we nixed the plan and decided the day would just be a laid back day. We had our Javas and breakfast of oatmeal and yogurt.

I got going on blogging as I was behind. Jeff did some planning/reading. We both just took it easy. For lunch we had the last of our PB and crackers. More blogging and reading as the afternoon turned into evening. We went out for takeaway supper to the nearby mall’s food court. There were two different places we chose. At the first place we ordered a Salted Mackerel set meal; and at the second place we ordered a ten set of Mixed Dumplings. We took them back to our place and ate with our last bottle of wine.

When we finished we went out walking along the harbor one last time. We were out well past sunset and went in the other direction this time… still starting at the Cruise ship dock area. Some of it was closed off – the best lit up areas. That surprised us. There were a number of people taking advantage of the cooler time of day. We then walked by the Exhibition Center. Out of the main entrance, there was a neat whale sculpture, but the coolest part was the reflection on it on the glass front of the building. We continued walking just enjoying the cooler night air and taking in more of the diversity in the lit up buildings. It was very pleasant and a great way to spend our last night here in Kaohsiung. Tomorrow will be an all day deal of traveling!
