May 5th

Today was another travel day. Leaving Valencia for Granada.

We checked out of our place, and took taxi to the bus station. We had a long bus ride – 8 hrs! But it was broke up. Bus stopped four different places, with the last of the four just being a convenience stop. The scenery changed to very dry terrain, but lots of orchards of lemons and oranges (the ones I could make out). About a third of the trip we could still see the Mediterranean Sea, but we headed more inland and just before Granada saw the Sierra Nevada's snow covered peaks. We arrived and caught a taxi to our hotel. We are in a room on the bottom floor! Unloaded and grabbed some bites for supper. Light eating day but no real activity. Except we did decide to see Alhambra at night – (so did do some walking).
