Happy Birthday, Mom!!!    

Today we had Muesli and yogurt, and our yummy Mango juice for breakfast. Then more research on the phone dilemma. I got bogged down quickly, but Jeff kept plunking along. Decisions… decisions! We took a break and went out for lunch, going to Pumpkin Cafe. First time Jeff has been here – at least when they were open. There were workers there, doing cement work; and couple of others helping the one lady that I have always just seen. Anyway, we had the great ‘I Land Salad’ and an order of Chicken Kottu. Jeff had a ginger “beer” and I had a watermelon juice.

Finished and we left back for our place, meandering the long way. Along the way, we spied out some other restaurants to potentially eat at. We then passed locals giving out one scoop ice cream cones and gave one to us. When we offered to pay they shook heads no and gestured hands no – so nice. This hit the spot! We stopped at a veggie shop and bought a cucumber, and some ice cream, because well, that cone was just so good! Now we had to double time the pace back. It wasn’t very far, but we did not want the ice cream to melt!! 

Upon arrival to our place, we noticed the welcome mat bulged up. Under it… UNBELIEVABLE… an Amazon box with label reading… Pixel 7A!!!🫨 We took it inside, still in disbelief. Jeff decided to video me opening it in case there was something amiss… Nope! It was a brand new Pixel 7A!! Jeff immediately got on the computer to chat with Amazon, and what we should do. After some back and forth, they sent back that we can keep the phone and we could keep the refund!! WHAT !?!  So… I have a new, free phone. Amazing! It was a lot of headaches and frustration, but free makes it almost worth it. I did do a major Happy Dance! – almost as enthusiastically as when Kelce scores a touchdown! 😂🤣😅

So the afternoon was now dedicated to the start up of the my new phone and some complications with my old phone, as its entire screen is now whited out and weirded out! Then the internet decided it was time to act up! So we were having to move the one SIM card we had back and forth between all three phones. Lastly, it seemed we would need another keyboard to use for my old phone as well as the mouse gizmo Jeff had already bought! So now, with this trifecta of complications, we took a break.

We had a snack of crackers. I also called my mom to wish her Happy Birthday!😘🥰  Then our host showed up, we gave him money for the electricity, he took our garbage, and said he would bring us dinner tomorrow! Yeah!!

So what a crazy, wild, topsy-turvy day 🤨🙃🙂!!!
