Living our dream,

 traveling the world!

Cordoba

Roman Bridge

     May 8th

Today was a semi travel day. We had bus tickets for noon. So we took a walk about and went to see Alhambra from a vantage point for our last time. Morning sun shows it well (eventhough, the outsides of the complex aren't grand, the sunshine did make it pop).  From here we went back to our hotel  for breakfast – every morning has been toast with butter and jam; fresh orange juice; and coffee, me/ hot chocolate, Jeff. After breakfast, we went back and re- packed our stuff.

We were so early decided to walk to the bus station – it's about a 2mile trek. Took our time and still arrived early, so Jeff went to an actual supermarket and got us yogurt. Our bus arrived around 15 minutes late, but everyone loaded up and we made up time – only left 2 minutes late. Granada to Cordoba only took two and 3/4 hours by this bus. We unloaded and caught a taxi to our “apartment”. Emilio met us there and showed us the ends and outs of the place. It's cute, basically and 3 room suite. There's a double-keyed entry to a hallway; that then has a keyed door entry to our place. The  main area is a kitchen/dining/living area. Then hallway to bathroom and at the end is a bedroom – big enough for bed and to walk around it on two sides (well actually only the end due to a standing hanger system to allow clothes to dry. The place has a washing machine, which we will put to use.) Emilio also gave us some video links on Cordoba and recommendations on restaurants.

We went to a small store and bought a few things for late lunch/early dinner. Pasta and red pepper with alfredo type sauce and baguette with olive oil. Then we took a siesta. It's hot here about 31 degrees C, which is about 90 degrees F. Sunset was worth waiting for. Tomorrow morning will be busy.
