Andorra, day 3
May 1st
We took another bus ride toward the northern most principality of Andorra. Mind you, this is a very small country. Turned out to be another gloriously, sunshiny day. Found a quaint church that as open, Sant Corneli i Sant Cebria. We went inside, ornate and nice. Back outside, I am still amazed at the prominently earthy-toned colors of all the buildings. It's so striking and fits in the settings of the mountains. We caught another bus back toward where we are staying.
We stopped along the way at Beluga Restaurant. Jeff ordered: vegetable gazpacho, starter; followed by a main of grilled sausage with roasted potatoes, tomato, and zucchini side; then, dessert crème brulee. I had: goat cheese salad, starter; followed by a main of grilled chicken with same side (I wanted grilled salmon, but “Fini,” said the waiter); dessert chocolate mousse. Good meal.
Finished, we found a hiking trail along the other side and trekked back to our hotel in a round about way.
Supper was light french-type meal. This is our last night in Andorra. We have enjoyed our time here.
