Agadir, Day 5
June 2nd
We getting ready for breakfast and could not get the stove to light. My handyman realized we had an empty propane tank. So cereal and yogurt breakfast. Jeff texted the owner and he said would be an hour. The new tank and owner arrived and changed the tank. This was our morning. But was not a problem we had no plans today.
We decided to go for big lunch around 1:15. There's a recommended Tagine restaurant. It was around a 20 minute walk. When we arrived, we were seated right away. We had bread and Baba ghanoush starter (I've had better baba ghanoush, but this is not a Moroccan dish. The fresh bread was awesome). We also ordered fresh made juice – a mango (thick, like a milkshake) and a lemon (tart, not sweet like lemonade). Next, we both had Tagines: with raisins, prunes, an egg – hard-boiled, and a zingy, jalapeno type pepper. The differences in our dishes was the meat – I had goat, Jeff had camel. The meats were finger pull-apart tender! If you moved a bone the meat just came off!! Flavors were great and presentation excellent – as they bring your dish in clay plate with a cone shaped dome, which they remove in front of you -voila! This is how they cook it – low and slow. Sooo, goood!! 🙂 🙂 We were so full! The walk back did us good. Siesta time!! Hope to go out later – don't know that I will need dinner!
