Living our dream,

 traveling the world!

Chiang Mai, Thailand #14

     June 1,

Up and about, hitting the treadmill! When we finished, we went back to our condo and had our Javas and made ourselves breakfast using the leftover sausage with eggs, and toast. We watched some YouTube and morning gave way to afternoon. We had a late lunch of the yummy Beef & noodles from across the street. We just took it easy for the rest of the day, and had a light supper of bread and cheese. Then we talked with my mother and few hours later we Zoomed with our church back home. Laid back day after the go-go past couple of days.

     June 2,

We awoke and had our Javas. I used the last of my coffee… always a sad day.😥 We talked with my sister and caught up with her, then we had our breakfast. We had the last of our oatmeal with apples, bananas, and yogurt. We did a quick load of laundry and then talked with Jeff’s sister and her husband. Now it was close to lunchtime.

In our condo there is a little coffee shop and they have their own roasted beans. So we checked it out, and I tried a cup. It was fine, so we bought it for me. Then we loaded up on Baloo and went to the close by shopping center to get steps and lunch. The place was busy for a Monday! As soon as we went in, we remembered they were having the Food Universe event. Wow! What a turn out!! They had made an area food court and it was being used!

We followed the lines of people to see the food stalls, finding ones we may want to get. Having chose, we decide to leave for now to walk about the mall first… maybe the food area will be less congested by then. As we were walking around, Jeff told me of Miss Thailand winning the overall Miss Universe Pageant. We assume the Food Universe had a tie in with the timing of the pageant itself and maybe it is more crowded because Miss Thailand won? I don’t know, I’m extrapolating… Questions???

Anyway, when we finished and went back down. The area was still as chaotic and busy. We found a table and I sat as Jeff went to get our chooses. We started with Lasagna, two kinds: one spinach and cheese; other one bacon and cheese. They had a bunch of gooey cheese, but the sauce was a bit too sweet for us. As we were eating a couple of little girls that were dressed to the nines, did some traditional Thai dancing. What fun!! Jeff went back in the masses to a stall for some Crispy Pork. When he returned, we decided the lasagna actually had made us full enough to be done! Surprised us both!! So we took the dish back with us to our condo.

When we arrived back, we realized we did not go to the store at the mall. So we unloaded our stuff and walked back out to a local store and found our list of stuff. Later we had the crispy pork and some wine for supper. Then we watched a movie.

     June 3,

When we got up and around today, my knees were really achy and sore. So… laid back day, again! Pooh!! We had our Javas and French toast with yogurts. The day was just chillin’ out: me lying to stretch and recoup; and Jeff read as morning turned into evening. The weather outside seemed to look even more dreary than most days, and of course it rained. We skipped lunch. I did blog, getting the website up to date.

Around 1700, Jeff went out to get us supper, at Rywin Cafe. He was taking awhile so I texted him. Four people had just ordered before him… so it took a little bit. He brought back Pad Krapow with Chicken, and Khao Soi with Chicken. They were both excellent! We did have to have some cheese and crackers to cool our mouths. The rest of the evening was watching some You tube.
