Chiang Mai, Thailand #9

May 23,
Today we got up and about, having our Javas and breakfast of Muesli and yogurt. Then we watched some YouTube. At 1030 we left to go get our Bone Density results, our GI consult for a colonoscopy; and our overall results.
We arrived at the Chiang Mai Ram Hospital first, for our body mass and bone density results. The results were great! I still have low vitamin D, so will have to get that vitamin and start taking it. Then we had over two hours until our next appointment… so we went back to our place and chilled out for a bit. We wanted Roast chicken Wichienbury, and they were open. We ordered our half grilled chicken and the corn salad. Yummy!!😋 Finished, we went back for rest of our appointments.
The GI doctor reviewed our stuff and set us up for colonoscopies. Jeff’s will be 28th and mine 29th. Then we went down in the main lobby of the hospital to pay for the consult and received our prep medications. Then we left the hospital – basically cross a couple of streets to get to Check-up Center. We went in and were directed to the medical doctor to go over all our results. We both have things to tweak, Jeff really only one thing and me a couple besides the vitamin D thing. Anyway, glad it is over.😥😅
We went back to our place and had a Greek salad for dinner, and just unwound.
May 24,
I did not sleep well, as in not able to sleep until 0130. So I did not get out of bed until 0820. Jeff said he heard me whimpering some… weird I don’t remember any bad dreams. He said he touched me and I stopped. Anyway, glad we both have working CPAP machines. I forgot to mention that we had received all the rest of our stuff – four days ago, I think it was. It was CPAP stuff, new phone cases, etc. We had our Javas and breakfast of oatmeal and yogurt. Jeff had done a load of laundry as I was getting up. He’d also gone and got some water. When he returned the rain started, but he thankfully got back before it poured. It turned into a regular lightning and rolling thunderstorm! We haven’t experienced these too many places, so it surprises us now.
Around 1400 it had stopped raining and we decided to go to the mall. We wanted to get some steps in, but the main reason… to see the latest Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning! We started out and had to alter our way to the mall due to flooding! Wowza!! Poor little Baloo probably would not float well. Anyway, we made it to the mall and got some steps in, then went to the 1530 show that was in English with Thai subtitles. It was a really great show!! 🎶Dun-na Na, Dun-na Na, Dun-na!🎵 No need to say anything else! We even shared a small popcorn. It movie tickets cost us 200 THB each, or $6.16 each, the popcorn was 180 THB, or $5.54.
When the movie finished we left quickly as it was getting less light, toward dusk. We forgot about the flooded side street back, but went on through it. Baloo did great – thankfully no swimming was involved!!🤣 Some kids where splashing about in the four inch water. Kids are kids everywhere! We arrived back at our place and had a snack of pickled mango for supper. Fun day!
