April 22nd

Today was a change of pace!!! We rode our bikes 16.5 km to the Mediterranean Sea at the town of Gruissan. We visited the Le Salin de l'ile Saint-Martin. This is a salt marsh area, with some of marshes a pinkish hue. There were a few flamingos in the area. We also visited a local market and had lunch at Boulangerie Patisserie Artisanale Bernard. The day was cool to cold and very cloudy; this made for good biking though. We saw the waves of the Mediterranean Sea and biked our way back to Narbonne, 16.5 km. Total bike ride was 33km which is 20 miles. When we arrived back to our boat, we were exhausted! But was a good day.
