Living our dream,

 traveling the world!

Da Lat, Vietnam #53

      December 15,

We were up and around to rain. Oh man!! The tune “rain, rain go away”… keeps running through my head, but I try stop it there. Because I don't want the next line… “come again another day”!!  Anyway we hunkered in and had our Javas and breakfast of a fried egg sandwich.

It rained all morning. But I guess it was okay, because we were waiting for a delivery – a Lazada order Jeff had placed for a 9 volt battery for our TENS unit. For some reason these are not in the stores with other batteries – AA, AAA, Lithium discs, and even had the big C & D's. It was surprising. Questions, questions?

As soon as we got the delivery we were free to go get lunch. It was just light drizzle so that worked out as well. We went really close by us to Bo Ne 3 Ngon. We each had a Sizzling Beef cast iron plate. I had the Beefsteak (5 ingredients)- beefsteak, bacon, 2 eggs, Vietnamese steamed pork sausage, nem, sausage, and pate. Jeff had Fired Beef (9 ingredients)- bowl of beef (that was sizzling due to a flame that was lit to finish cooking his meat!), bacon, 2 eggs, nem, Vietnamese steamed pork sausage, sausage, cheese, sardine, pate. Both our dishes had sliced onion and fresh coriander on them, had a baguette, and a lettuce salad. We were both given a glass of coke that was included. The food was great and filling, but the amounts were small so not over stuffed. It cost us 145,000 Dong ($5.71) for the whole meal.

Finished we went back to our place, averting the rain. Rest of the afternoon was planning. We had a light supper of crackers with cheese, because we did not expend any energy. Then we talked with my mom and her husband. Watched some You tube, then we talked with our church back home. Bed by 2330.

      December 16,

The morning was a little break in rain, but still cloudy. We had our Javas and breakfast of Muesli, yogurt, and milk – while watching the Chiefs highlights. Then we talked with my sister, and then Jeff's sister and her husband. Always good to talk with family!😊🥰  Then, I got my delivery, two shirts that didn't fit 🙄😒!!

We finished at 1300, and started to go out. It was, of course, raining!!! So Jeff hired us a Grab taxi and we went the Go grocery store/mall. We arrived and got X3 country sausages in the little food court of the mall. So good! We needed a bit more, though, so we split a scoop of coconut ice cream. Now we went grocery shopping at the Go. Since we seem to be able to come and go here – we spent some time here. Finally, we found the rest of stuff from our list. We hired a Grab taxi back to our place – not because of rain – but because we had a load of stuff!!

Afternoon turned to evening, and we made our supper. I made chili and a watermelon-mango salad. Yum, if I do say so myself – it turned out great. Chili is a comfort food for us, especially in cool drizzly weather. Thankful, I guess, that is not snow!!
