December 9th
Well, I had major trouble falling asleep. There was very loud clanking/thudding sounds it seemed about every 10-15 minutes until two am – I thought it to be construction at crazy hrs!! (Jeff later said it was the door to the individual rooms!!!) Whatever, it was not conducing to sleep, even with ear plugs in. Finally, I slept well 2 to 7 am. Jeff said he awoke at 5 am – his normal. We got around and checked out at nine. Breakfast was not included, so we’ll eat at the lounge in the airport, that we have access to (It will be free).
We checked in our car, no problem, and were in the airport to check in by 0920. Bags checked, so then turned to go through security – no hitch, except for Jeff almost leaving his phone! (The attendant caught us before we were to security.) Now through security and into our lounge for breakfast. We had a very nice selection: an assortment of fruits, yogurts, a smoked chicken salad, and two kinds of smoked cheeses; a hot area of scrambled eggs, beef meatballs, a savoury mince (hamburger, beans, and small cubed carrots(?) with lots of cumin spice); and then muffins and some kind of Indian(?) bread. It made for a great full breakfast. Then we just sat in the lounge: people watching, blogging, eating some ‘Mrs H.S. Ball’s chutney flavored potato chips’ (very good, by the way), and reading til our gate opened at 1130.
