We were up and around by 0700. At 0800, I tried to connect with my mother. This was bad though as I forgot about the time change! So I hung up quickly and we had our Javas and breakfast of oatmeal and yogurt. Just as we sat to eat, she called me. So we did our WhatsApp video call as we ate. My mom and her husband are doing well. He will be having Cataract surgery on Thursday, so we will be praying and thinking of him all day! 

When we finished we hand washed a few items to get us through the rest of our stay in Brazil. Then we went out to get some steps and just check things out. Jeff wanted to check out the bus station, to see if we might go to the falls or return via bus transit. On our walkabout I spotted a very large tree snail oozing across the sidewalk. We were amazed how big it was and actually took a picture with it – against my shoe for comparison! It was kind of freaky!

We returned back to our place and did a Zoom link with our church back home.  We were able to continue through the service this time. Then we had lunch of bread & a lettuce, pepper, onion, tomato and cucumber salad with some garlic dressing that Jeff had found in the store. Afterward, we watched some YouTube videos. Since today is our connection day we don’t have anything planned. 

Then we did a WhatsApp with my sister and she related how his 60th Birthday supper went. It sounded super great!! Next I blogged as Jeff planned. Afternoon gave way to evening and we had a snack supper of some pretzels with the last of the hummus and cheese. Then we tried connecting with Jeff’s sister, but she was in Napa with her husband and a son. We will try to get with her tomorrow evening.
